Our Story

Founded in 1985, Access Housing was the first program of its kind in the greater DC area to provide critical services to homeless veterans.

 

Since our founding, we have expanded our service offerings, grown our footprint, and increased our impact in our Nation’s Capital.

  • We focus on building independence and self-sufficiency.

  • We try to provide as many services and resources as possible in one place, including hosting the only on-site VA Community-based Outpatient Clinic for use by residents and veterans in the community.

  • We have helped thousands of veterans overcome a period of struggle to enjoy success in civilian life.
